Our Daily Schedule

 At Early Bird Preschool, arrival is a special time filled with warmth and care. Each child places their picture into our safe keeper box, ensuring a sense of security throughout the day. Additionally, every child has an individual cubby for their belongings, promoting independence and organization. We kickstart the morning with a connection activity, fostering bonds and setting a positive tone for the day ahead. While children settle in, table-top toys, books, and puzzles are available, providing opportunities for quiet exploration and engagement as they transition into the classroom routine. 

Our morning meeting is a structured and engaging start to the day. We cover the weekly focus of letter, shape, color, and number, along with discussing the day's weather and reading books. We also talk about the plan for the day and explore the theme of the month through a morning activity. Our meeting ends with a group connection activity to strengthen bonds among the children. 

We value free choice and open exploration. During this time, children have access to a variety of centers including science, writing, blocks, dramatic play, cozy corner, sensory table, table-top activities, and the art center. This allows them to follow their interests, engage in hands-on learning experiences, and express their creativity in a supportive and nurturing environment. 

Mealtime at Early Bird Preschool is more than just nourishment; it's a time for open conversations, connection, and exploration. As children gather around the table, we spark interest and get to know each other through engaging discussions. We talk about the importance of nutrition and trying new foods, fostering curiosity and a positive attitude towards healthy eating. Through these conversations, children learn about different food groups, where their food comes from, and the benefits of making healthy choices. Our goal is to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where mealtime becomes a fun and educational experience for all. 

Our large group activities change regularly throughout the week. From educational activities like tracing and math exercises to creative pursuits such as crafts and free art, there's always something new to explore. We also enjoy hands-on science experiments and sensory activities. With this variety, children have the chance to learn, create, and grow in a fun and engaging way. 

Outdoor play is an integral part of our curriculum, offering diverse activities that extend the learning environment. Children explore nature through dramatic play, art, obstacle courses, seasonal gardening, and sensory/water tables. These hands-on experiences promote physical development, social interaction, and a connection to the natural world. 

Small group sessions provide personalized learning experiences during afternoon free choice time. Tailored to each child's pace, learning style, and developmental stage, these structured sessions offer individualized attention and support to help children progress and succeed at their own pace.
